Composition Lab: 4-Week Pilot (Nov–Dec)

Booking Policy

1) Eligibility & expectations Designed for intermediate composers/songwriters. Weekly deliverable: 60–90 seconds (or a meaningful revision) ready to share. Active, respectful participation in critique is required. 2) Your booking includes Four live 3-hour lab sessions. Private Google Drive folder, concise rubric notes. Zoom auto-captions; ASL by request (please request ≥72 hours in advance). 3) Tech requirements (live sharing) Headphones required. Bluetooth mics discouraged for live music. In Zoom, enable Original Sound for Musicians if performing live; otherwise share a recording. Join 5 minutes early for a quick sound check. If tech fails, share a recording instead. 4) Booking, payment & confirmation Seats are first-come, paid-in-full; your payment confirms your spot. Bookings are non-transferable without prior written approval. 5) Cancellations, refunds & guarantee Before the pilot starts: cancel ≥72 hours before Session 1 for full refund. After the pilot starts: no refunds or credits for missed sessions. All-in Guarantee: Attend all 4 sessions and submit weekly. If you feel you didn’t receive value, email within 7 days after the final session for a full refund. No refunds issued for removals due to code-of-conduct or policy violations. 6) Attendance & lateness Please arrive on time. If >15 minutes late, your share may be shortened or moved to the end to protect others’ time. No make-ups in the pilot. If you submit work before a session you must miss, brief written notes may be provided as time allows. 7) Rescheduling by the host If I must cancel for illness/emergency or there’s a platform outage, the session will be rescheduled within 2 weeks. If rescheduling isn’t possible, you’ll receive a pro-rata refund for the missed session. 8) Code of conduct Specific, supportive critique. No harassment, discrimination, or plagiarism. Respect confidentiality: no sharing of other members’ works or comments outside the lab. 9) Recording & IP Sessions are not recorded. You retain 100% ownership of your music. You grant the lab a private, internal license to play your submitted audio for critique during the pilot. 10) Accessibility Zoom auto-captions on by default. ASL interpretation available on request with ≥72 hours’ notice. 11) Communications & files You agree to receive email reminders and follow-ups. Keep your Drive link private and organized by week. 12) Acceptance By booking, you confirm you’ve read and agree to this policy.
